Hello there,
I'm a Traditional Chinese user, my environment is WinXP SP3 / SMPlayer Portable 0.6.5.1.
I get a problem about subtitle font settings.
1. Default subtitle encoding: Traditional Chinese encoding (BIG5).
2. I try to use normal subtitles, and switch between TTF font and System font.
3. I also try to use SSA/ASS subtitles.
4. I'm sure the font I choose supports Traditional Chinese characters.
I try the methods listed above, but the subtitles don't display correctly. They display like "_____.____", "@__?$__.&#", or " ".
I also try to install deb package under Ubuntu, and Traditional Chinese subtitles can display well.
Below is part of the smplayer.ini.[subtitles]

Try the following:
Enable the SSA/ASS subtitles, go to Preferences->Advanced->Options for mplayer and delete the -nofontconfig option.
Thanks a lot, it works. ![]()
